The Victoria Coalition Against Poverty, along with the Island Solidarity Centre, Harm Reduction Victoria & VIPIRG invite you to the David Strong Building (room c118) at the University of Victoria Jan20th for a public forum to create a common thread amongst Victoria's diverse social justice movement. The Victoria Coalition Against Poverty (V-CAP) has been meeting and growing for roughly 3 months now, and now includes representatives from 12 groups whose memberships are firmly anti-poverty in belief, and who struggle with the effects of poverty and capitalism day-to-day.

Join with us!  Fight with us!  Together we are infinitely stronger then small pockets of resistance.

As the famous womens labour ballad goes, we demand not only bread, but roses too!!!

Join with us for the planning and execution of two spring time actions to start up the fightback against both deprivation and greed, wealth and poverty, because make no mistake friends, they are two sides of the same coin:capitalism.

There will be community announcements coming out shortly, but let it be said that as as community we put aside the day of Feb 6th to speak out against homelessness. We will be meeting at 2pm in bastion square.  Details to follow shortly.

We have been meeting at the office of the Action Committee for People with Disabilities, and our next meeting is the 11th of Jan at noon.  Please come and do bring a friend.

Yours In Solidarity
